Are you a fan of comics? If yes, then you must have heard of Herge’s eternal creation- Tintin. Else do you like to taste unique European cuisine? Then you have come to the right review, we will give you the direction to a beautiful restaurant. Paromita and I were searching for something like this for some time. Then suddenly we found this Gem in the midst of Kolkata city,a world of Tintin. Even the bill/check folder/box has Tintin and friends painting.
“Tintin And The Brussels Club” offers you both the essence of Tinin’s world and simultaneously the delicacies from Belgium. Yes, you have heard right, this restaurant serves authentic Belgian dishes which is rare in Kolkata. This restaurant has started its journey on the 30th of March,2018 under the guidance of its owners- Arindam Ghosh and Barnali Sensarma Ghosh along with another couple Pinaki Manna and Brinda Chatterjee Manna. We are grateful to them for gifting us such an awesome present.
Location
“Tintin And The Brussels Club” is at Hindustan Park, on the exact opposite lane of the Basanti Devi college. The lane is also adjacent to the shop Kimbadanti. One has to walk a minute or two from the main road and the restaurant will be on the left side.
The Google map address of this restaurant is :

Ambience
Now ready to brace yourself with amusement. Welcome to Tintinverse!! Tintin, Snowy, Captain Haddock, Bianca Castafiore, Thomson and Thompson, Professor Calculus every one is present there. They are welcoming you from every corner of this inn. Some of the walls also have beautiful 3D murals of Belgium’s streets, that one can see on our feature photo. We settled in a corner table which had beautiful salt pots. Only thing I missed was a little bit more space.
Service at Tintin & Brussels Club
The management was one of the most humble ones I’ve ever seen. Beginning with a smiling welcome to help with the menu and taking care in between the dinner, everything was very heartwarming.
Food we ordered
Though the restaurant offers Italian also, we decided to stick Belgian dishes. We opted for Belgian Fish & Friets and Belgian express non-veg salad.
Belgian Fish & Friets
Friet is the dutch word for fries. But this one was no ordinary Fish & French fry. Here the fries are coated with crisp non-oily bread crumbs while insides were filled with fresh, soft fish and potato. With a dip of mayonnaise, this dish melted heaven in our mouth.
Belgian express non-veg salad
This one was a beautiful combination of veg and non-veg. The chicken was beautifully blended in the valley of vegetables consisting of broccoli, peas, carrots, cheddar cheese and many more. The salad satisfied our appetite for sure.
These two dishes were just enough for two people.
Value for money
In our opinion, this restaurant is really pocket friendly in respect of the speciality they are serving.
Hygiene
We had no issue at that time
